There are "no bells and whistles" at this hotel six miles from Downtown Oakland, but it "gives you what you need": "convenience to the airport, mass transit" and Network Associates Coliseum and a "helpful" staff; "tired-looking" though "functional" rooms have mini-fridges and microwaves and the "parking lot feels unsafe", but despite definite "signs of age" it's still an "adequate" choice for many.

Across from Harley Dealership -- revving of motorcycles -- even at 4 am.

Very nicely appointed rooms. Moved to another room due to air conditioning. problems. Staff eager to remedy. First king bed was too hard. Second bed was very comfortable.

Clean, nice room with comfortable bed and was
close to ballpark.

No major complaints.

For the price we got on this, it was very good. A solid place to stay, and only a short drive to the Coliseum (we were there for some ball games). Asked for and got the
"quiet side, which is away from the road. That's important because Harley-Davidson has a major facility across the street, and there are a lot of loud bikes going up and down in front of the hotel. But from the back, we didn't hear them. Not fancy or elegant; but we didn't need that. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Chef prepared excellent meal for my dietary restrictions.

We were very pleased with every aspect of this hotel. Even though it's near the Oakland Airport, we heard no planes. Parking was in the back, away from the street. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The chef was extraordinary. I have dietary restrictions due to stomach surgery and he prepared 2 excellent dinners without any fuss.
